Pair of HR Trumpet Vases Circa 1890 (J)- SOLD

Pair of trumpet vases, 12-1/4” tall, 4-3/4” at flared tops, 5-3/4” across tripod bases. Form dictates function here: the flared shapes are ideal for casual flower arrangements, as well as being perfect to outline the Breton figures on the front. Simple sprays of flowers stripe the sides and backs and frame the naïve Breton figures. In perfect condition (please note that he has a very slight tilt at the top; that’s part of his original firing process). S: HR inside the tops, ca. 1890.
