An Adorable Pair 3-7/8" square, an inspired use of geometric motifs to frame our traditional sujets ordinaires. Yes, they were intended as ashtrays (designed at the height of the smoking craze in the 1930s); we can see them used for spoon rests, nuts or candy, hand soaps, desk minutiae...and so on.
