George Brisson Pitcher ca. 1920's (J)

Large Brisson pitcher, 7-3/8" high, 6" across to handle, 3-1/4" base diameter. Georges Brisson created this theme in the 1920s for the de la Hubaudière factory. The figures are highly stylized, as are the Breton motifs that outline the scenes. This fresh approach to traditional ideas was typical of the Art Deco period and was widely welcomed in the post-war period of the 1920s. On the top of the handle, there is a very small area that looks like a reglaze, but there is no evidence of a break or repair, so we would say," In excellent condition".

$350, plus $35 shipping.
