9 1/4" diameter. From the delaHubaudiere (HB) factory, ca. 1880. Her
costume is quite different from those we usually see: the bodice colors and
sleeve detail are very striking. The border intersperses the ermine tail of Anne
of Brittany with floral sprays, which immediately lifts this plate to a
"Notable" category.
Signed
HB on the back (but faintly, so it did not photograph well at all), and our
restorer's three red dots for modest conservation measures. And on the front, at
her feet:
"Bourg
de Batz", the town where she was intended to be sold, and no doubt was.
