Pair of plates, 9-3/4” diameter. Lightly scalloped, with a ribbon-y border interspersed with ermine tails. This was a rare series created by the de la Hubaudière factory in the late 19th century and these are a particularly fine pair. The costumes and faces are delicately detailed, the borders nicely differentiated. She has a pinpoint of glaze missing at the outer edge at about 4 o’clock (looks like a glaze skip that grew a smidge); otherwise, they are impeccable. Rather good for ca. 1880, we think!
